ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 is a new H1 grease for the lubrication of low-movement machine elements, most often involving oscillation. Thanks to its unique formula, it is the optimal alternative to greases where problems with tribocorrosion occur.

Vöhringen, May 2016: The lubricant experts at ELKALUB present the new H1 grease ELKALUB GLS 361/N1, a new product for the lubrication of gear segments, shaft-hub joints, load chains and comparable machine elements. Particularly with oscillating movements and micromotion due to shock or externally induced vibrations, a continued flow of lubricant is frequently problematic or often not ensured at all. Due to insufficient lubrication, early tribocorrosion is often the result in friction contacts. Thanks to its formula, ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 offers much better adhesion compared to other products on the market. Therefore, its solid lubricants are more stationary and provide lubrication for longer for such load scenarios. This property is complemented by a high load-bearing capacity of 4,400 N in the four-ball test and excellent results in the SRV test (for vibration and abrasion wear).

The superior properties of ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 are the result of a new type of synergistic mixture of several white solid lubricants. Thanks to the use of ultra-pure oils and an organic thickener, ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 is certified according to NSF H1 criteria. Therefore, it can be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Other manufacturers mostly use conventional lithium soap thickeners and are consequently out of the question for these industries in most cases.

ELKALUB considers the product suitable for use to address all kinds of friction wear, particularly in jointing applications, hub-and-shaft assemblies as well as gear and chain applications with high loads. ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 was used for the first time in the printing of food packaging in sheet-fed offset machines of a renowned German manufacturer. In the meantime, this H1 grease has been used for initial commissioning and servicing by several manufacturers in the printing industry.

ELKALUB GLS 361/N1 is available in 400 g cartridges and other standard container sizes. It will soon also be available for application in a brush can.
